Problems installing PowerGear?

Sometimes there is a problem installing PowerGear.  The most common installation failure is when the extracting process fails.  When you run PGInstall.exe , the compressed download file is extracted to your temp directory, C:\Documents and Settings\"Your User Name"\Local Settings\Temp, and creates sequential folders named WZSE1.TMP, WZSE2.TMP etc.  After the installer unzips the files to this directory it runs the file setup.exe, when it is finished it deletes the install files but cannot delete all of the files and the folder remains in your temp directory.   We have had luck by deleting the contents of the temp directory and then retrying the install routine in PGInstall.exe. We have also succeeded installing by manually extracting the files from the downloaded file, PGInstall.exe and then manually running setup.exe that it contains by double clicking on it. You can manually extract the files with the winzip extractor, available as trial software here: http://www.winzip.com/

You can also try this regular zip file

Hope this helps,
